I grew up in Hawaii ...Mmmmm, I bet that is gooood! I grew up in Hawaii and my grandfather worked the sugarcane fields. He would bring home freshly burned (they burn the cane fields before they harvest) sugarcane. We all sat around gnawing off the outer husk to the sweet unforgettable flavor of cane.
